FAQs
-
Whatever your reasons for coming, therapy provides a safe space to explore memories, behaviors, feelings, & relationships—with a trusted professional who is for you. Therapy can help you put words to things that have been confusing or burdensome. It can give you perspective from multiple sources and healing lenses from the field of psychology. It can remind you who you truly are. It can explore who God is and how he is at work in your situation. And it ensures that you aren’t alone as you move toward growth.
-
Most persons do counseling weekly or bi-weekly (every-other week). We recommend clients enter counseling to do a focused-work on an area of their life, instead of coming occasionally or infrequently. When clients have chosen to see us 1x/month (or less often), it can be difficult to make progress or see growth. When this occurs, it sometimes feels that counseling is a time of “catching up” (because so much life has happened since we saw you last), instead of a focused work toward your goals.

We see clients at local offices in Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland, Clearview, and Snohomish. We are often expanding to new areas (Lynnwood coming soon)!
-
Yes! We have many clients who prefer to do counseling from the comfort & convenience of their own home.
-
Our rates start at $150/hourly session. See more at our Rates page.
-
For clients desiring to use insurance, we offer billing-after-service, meaning that after therapy & payment, we produce a “Superbill” or clinical receipt for our clients to submit to their insurance. Our experience is that most insurance companies will reimburse for each session (!), although some won’t. Additionally, we are able to accept HSA cards for payment.
Clients will need to determine eligibility with their individual carriers.
-
Yes, you can! Many clients have used HSA to pay for counseling. You may need to confirm that your HSA provider has included therapy as an eligible health cost (i.e. some providers may include psychiatric care but not counseling).
-
Absolutely! Counseling is at-will. You can start or stop whenever you see fit!
-
This is an important question! You can read about this in-depth on Our Approach page.

Although it is true that each of our counselors have Christian commitments, we see many non-religious clients and follow the lead of each individual (as to whether they want religious ideas/practices to be a part of the counseling process). For some clients, spirituality is a big part of their counseling, and others not at all. We understand spiritual decisions like this to be highly personal. We also believe that some people need spirituality to stay out of counseling for them to heal.
