There is a space for you here…a space in which you are heard, seen, and understood… a space that can house the darkest pieces of you and your story… a space in which God can reignite hope that has felt distant or lost. I invite you to come as you are and share your story. Let me hold this space for you, one in which His love leads you through self-discovery, healing, and renewal.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.” - Ecclesiastes 3:11
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
I received my Master of Arts in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Seattle University. Prior to this, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Communication (Speech and Rhetoric) at the University of Washington. I am currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA, #MC61486616) working towards full licensure (LMHC) in Washington State.
My education and training have taught me to value an integrative and trauma-informed therapeutic approach, using techniques from evidenced-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Person-centered therapy. I also utilize Motivational Interviewing, Art Therapy, Virtual Sandtraying, and Play Therapy when appropriate.
I have had the privilege of serving children, adolescents, young adults, and families with different backgrounds and stories, and enjoy working with diverse age groups. I have also co-facilitated therapy groups that focus on psychoeducational content and those that emphasize emotional regulation skills. Additionally, I am bilingual in Chinese, and have worked with many individuals from Chinese-speaking families and communities.

ABOUT ME
I was born in Taiwan, raised in Shanghai, China, and came to Washington for my undergraduate and graduate studies.
Becoming a counselor started as a childhood dream of mine after experiencing hardships in my early years. The dream was immediately deemed impractical and risky because of my empathic and deep-feeling nature, so I “stored” this dream away for many years. But over those years, I faced even more than I could have ever imagined and became more aware of my emotional wounds, my own brokenness, and ultimately, my need for God. He rescued me from darkness, showed me how to be Jesus-led instead of emotion-led, and gifted me the courage to pursue my counselor identity.
I am a wife to my beloved husband, G, who I met while playing basketball at the UW recreation center in our college years. Today, playing basketball is still one of our favorite activities to do together. We also enjoy lifting at the gym, cooking, watching shows, playing board games, propagating our many plants, and spending quality time with friends.
In my own time, I am an amateur artist who delights in crafting, painting and sketching; a vocalist who enjoys making music; and a writer who embraces storytelling. Admittedly, I am also an overly ambitious reader, struggling to finish all the books sitting on my bookshelf. Sometimes, I can get lost in Animal-Planet-esque shows, feeling in awe of God’s creations.
