MA LMHCA
Beth Secrist
My hope at New Ground is to help facilitate the personal healing and growth of clients through professional clinical care while listening intently to God’s prompting and leading. I believe the assimilation of one’s faith into the therapy conversation can lead to a more wholistic experience.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology and Masters in Christian Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary. Prior to this, I received my BA in Speech Communication from the University of Washington.
I have worked with children, adolescents, couples, individuals, seniors, and groups. I have specific experience with women and their children in domestic violence, groups in addiction counseling, individuals struggling with personality disorders, couples and relationship distress, depression, anxiety, stress due to life transitions, and seasonal affective struggles.

ABOUT ME
My husband, Dan, and I have four children spanning from high school to elementary school. If I could be anywhere, it would be watching the sunrise on the open road or listening to nature on a hiking trail. I love adventuring to new places and meeting new people, and I am always excited to learn the traditions of other cultures. In my spare time, you can find me reading by the fire or working on a house project.
I am relational by nature and feel that the basis of any positive therapy experience starts with the rapport of the client and therapist. I have a conversational and narrative style in sessions and find that the best sessions stem from the ever-evolving comfort of experiencing safety and authenticity during therapy.
